Gophers Drop One Place to No. 6

MINNEAPOLIS - After a tough loss on the road against Penn State, the Gophers dropped one place in the national rankings to No. 6. The Gophers remained No. 6 in the coaches poll.
No. 1 Oklahoma (445.050), No. 2 Stanford (442.017), No. 3 Michigan (441.900), No. 4 Ohio State (440.050) and No. 5 Penn State (436.050) make up the top five. This is the first time since Jan. 20 that Michigan has not been ranked No. 2, with Stanford now edging out the Wolverines' average by .117 points.
The Gophers have a three-meet average of 435.600, which is ahead of No. 7 Illinois (434.033), No. 8 Air Force (432.983), No. 9 Iowa (432.017) and No. 10 California (428.667) to round out the top 10.
