Kunik Named B1G Co-Pitcher of the Week

Right-hander Neal Kunik has been named Big Ten Co-Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced today.
In just his second collegiate start, Kunik struck out a career-high nine batters in seven scoreless innings. He scattered three hits in the Gophers' win against Penn State in the series finale.
Kunik now has a 1.27 ERA in eight appearances for the Gophers. He has pitched 28 1/3 innings.
The Gophers' last Big Ten Pitcher of the Week was DJ Snelten on May 20, 2013. Snelten and Tom Windle each earned the honor twice last season.
