22 Gophers Awarded CSCAA Academic Honors

The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced the 2014 CSCAA Individual Scholar All-Americans. Their list has included 22 Golden Gophers who achieved academic excellence, while competing in the 2013-14 season.
NCAA DI Individual Men First Team Scholar All-America
Ian Gordon, Nick Hatanaka, CJ Smith and Derek Toomey maintained a cumulative, or term grade point average of 3.5 or higher while competing at the NCAA Division I Championships to qualify for the CSCAA Individual Scholar All-America Award.
NCAA DI Individual Men Honorable Mention
Luke Bushman, Alex Cisneros, Chris Johnson, Ryan Miksch, Carl Newenhouse, Nick Orf and Jack Tribble were awarded the CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-America Award for maintaining a cumulative, or term grade point average of 3.5 or higher while achieving a "B" time standard.
NCAA DI Individual Women First Team Scholar All-America
Erin Caflisch, Kiera Janzen, Maggie Keefer, Tori Simenec, Lauren Votava, Becca Weiland and Blake Zeiger maintained a cumulative, or term grade point average of 3.5 or higher while competing at the NCAA Division I Championships to qualify for the CSCAA Individual Scholar All-America Award.

Katy Etterman, Katelyn Holmquist, Jessica Plant and Hailey Szews were awarded the CSCAA Honorable Mention Scholar All-America Award for maintaining a cumulative, or term grade point average of 3.5 or higher while achieving a "B" time standard.
