University of Minnesota assistant men's golf coach Tyler Stith has accepted a position as head men's golf coach at the University of Iowa. Stith, a former Iowa student-athlete and assistant coach, served as assistant to Golden Gophers head coach John Carlson for the past three seasons. Minnesota won the 2014 Big Ten title in their third season on staff together.

"The dedication and professionalism Tyler exemplified daily helped make our Gopher Golf program even stronger," Carlson said. "He is more than worthy of a head coaching position. It was a privilege to work with Tyler, and I wish him the best of luck."
