The Golden Gophers sit in third place after a windy first two rounds of the 10th annual Gopher Invitational. Minnesota turned in team scores of 294 and 295 for a 21-over day at Windsong Farm Golf Club.
Senior Tyler Lowenstein also had both rounds (73 and 74) count on Sunday. Sophomores Grady Meyer (+15) and Matt Rachey (+17) each scored in one round to round out the Gophers' lineup.
Five Gophers played as individuals, led by freshman Rúnar Arnorsson. Arnorsson is tied for 27th at 8 over.
Baylor is 4 over to lead the team competition by 10 strokes over second-place California. Victor Wiggens of Charlotte (-5) is the top individual by three shots over VCU's Steffen Harm and Baylor's Kyle Jones.
The third and final round of the Gopher Invitational will begin at 7:30 off the first tee and 7:33 off the 10th tee. Live scoring will be available at birdiefire.com.
