Team / Series Notes
• Today's game was the third all-time meeting in men's basketball between Minnesota and Rutgers, with the Gophers holding a 3-0 lead in the series. Minnesota has a 2-0 edge in games played in Minneapolis.
• Head coach Richard Pitino's record at Minnesota improved to 37-20, while his three-year overall record now stands at 55-34.
• Today's game was Coach Pitino's first against the Scarlet Knights, and he is now 10-16 versus teams from the Big Ten.
• The Gophers, who entered the game ranked second nationally in steals per game (11.1), came up with 11 steals versus the Scarlet Knights.
• Three Minnesota players reached double figures for points, and eight of the nine players who played in the game for the Gophers scored points.
• The Gophers made 10-of-28 (.357) three-pointers, and have made six or more treys in 17 of the past 18 games.

Individual Notes
• Senior guard Andre Hollins finished with a Minnesota season-high 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including 7-of-10 from beyond the arc. He is the first Minnesota player with 30-plus points in a game since Austin Hollins had 32 points versus Southern Miss on March 25, 2014. It's Hollins' second career game with more than 30 points.
• Hollins made 5-of-7 three-pointers in the first half to lead all players with 17 points at the break.
• Hollins' seven three-pointers ties his career-high and ties for second-most in a single game in Minnesota history. Hollins also made seven treys and finished with 27 points at Wake Forest on Dec. 2, 2014.
• Junior guard Carlos Morris had 12 points on 6-of-12 shooting, while also dishing out four assists and grabbing three rebounds. It was the 13th double-figure scoring game for Morris.
• Freshman guard Nate Mason made his second career start and had nine points to go along with team-high totals of five steals and five assists. It's the fourth time this season that Mason has had five or more steals in a game.
• Senior forward Maurice Walker just missed a double-double, recording 16 points and a team-best nine rebounds, while adding a career-high four steals.
• Senior guard DeAndre Mathieu came off the bench to score eight points and add three assists.
• Junior forward Joey King had nine points and three assists for the Gophers.
