Gopher Sports: Why did you decide to attend the University of Minnesota?

Jimmy Rafter: Minneapolis! And the ocean views...

GS: What is your most memorable swimming/diving moment?

JR: The fist day Viktor Bjoerk came on campus.

GS: What is your favorite part of being a Golden Gopher?

JR: Hanging out with such great people from all walks of life, including Viktor Bjoerk.

GS: What is your favorite pre-race song?

JR: My Way - Frank Sinatra

GS: What is the best advice you have received from one of the coaches at Minnesota?

JR: "Let the clock do the work" - Dennis Dale


GS: What is your dream job?

JR: Anywhere in the design field that gives me the opportunity to be creative day to day.

GS: What is your favorite post-meet meal?

JR: Annie's Parlor burger and malt.

GS: Do you have any other hobbies outside of swimming/diving?

JR: Cooking, designing and building things, armature snake charming, and making anything with my hands.

GS: What do you plan on doing after graduation?

JR: Travel! Hopefully around Europe.
