Gophers Mark Successful Home Regatta

MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota rowing team successfully defended its home course, winning every event it entered at the 2015 Head of the Mississippi Regatta on a sun-splashed Saturday afternoon.
Competing for the only time at home during the season, the Gophers tallied wins in each of the six events in which it had entried: the Open 1x, the Open 2-, the Varsity 4+ and the Varsity 8+. Minnesota's novice rowers also saw their first competition in the water in the four- and eight-person races.
"We had a beautiful fall day and a lot of fun racing today," said head coach Wendy Davis.

The Gophers are back in action in two weeks, traveling to Boston for the Head of the Charles Regatta on Monday, October 19.
