Gophers in the Polls: November 25

New teams enter the polls while other fall sports wrap up their seasons, as the month of November closes out for the Gophers. Below is a look at how the ranked Minnesota programs did.

Women's Hockey - #3 (USCHO.com), #3 (USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine)

Last Week: The Gophers swept Yale in non-conference action last weekend at Ridder Arena, winning by scores of 6-3 and 4-1. Dani Cameranisi had a hat trick on Friday night while Hannah Brandt became the program's all-time leader in assists.

Coming Up: The Gophers return to both the road and WCHA competition this weekend, traveling Friday and Saturday to Mankato to face Minnesota State.

Volleyball - #4 (AVCA), #3 (NCAA RPI)

Last Week: The Gophers extended their school-record win streak to 15 matches after sweeping Maryland at home Wednesday, but fell at Purdue in five sets for their first loss since September 26.

Coming Up: Minnesota wraps up the regular season this week, hosting Ohio State on Wednesday before traveling to Indiana on Saturday.

Men's Gymnastics - #8

Coming Up: The Gophers will host their annual Maroon and Gold meet on Dec. 12 with action beginning at 2:00 p.m. The meet, usually held at Cooke Hall, will take place in the Sports Pavilion. The regular-season will open on Sunday, Jan. 17, as Minnesota will travel to the Windy City Invitational in Chicago, Ill.

Men's Cross Country - #16

Last Week: The Gophers finished 19th at the NCAA Championships, led by a 91st place finish from Obsa Ali and a 94th place finish by Adam Zutz.

Women's Swimming & Diving - #18

Last Week: Yu Zhou took first in the women's platform while Lexi Tenenbaum finished fifth as the team competed at Georgia Tech.

Coming Up: The Gophers are idle this week before they will host the annual Jean K. Freeman Invite on Friday, Dec. 4 through Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Gophers home pool.

Men's Swimming & Diving - #20

Last Week: Manny Pollard finished second in the men's platform while Dylan Zoe finished fourth as the diving team competed at the Georgia Tech Invitational.

Coming Up: The Gophers are idle this week before they will host the annual Jean K. Freeman Invite on Friday, Dec. 4 through Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Gophers home pool.

Wrestling - #21 (Intermat)

Last Week: The Gophers took six matches and scored key victories at 157, 184 and 197 pounds to ground the Air Force Falcons, 22-12, on Saturday night.

Coming Up: Minnesota will visit Stillwater next Sunday to take on No. 3 Oklahoma State at 2 p.m.

Women's Cross Country - #23

Last Week: The Gophers posted their best team finish since 2009, placing 18th at the NCAA Championships. Liz Berkholtz finished in 44th place while Haley Johnson finished 72nd.
