Last Time Out: Gophers Record Six All-Time Top Ten Performances
After having eight top-ten performances at the Jack Johnson Classic in January, the Gophers continued to make history by adding six more to the list at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., last weekend.
Erin Hawkins tied her own personal record and sixth all-time program record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.36. Jessica Waldvogel cracked the top ten in the same event by earning the ninth all-time performance at 24.66 seconds. In the 400-meter dash, Emerald Egwim made her open 400m collegiate debut to rank seventh all-time (55.20 seconds). In the 600-meter run, Titania Markland climbed to fourth all-time (1:31.00).
Kimberly Golding improved her personal best to now rank third all-time in the 60-meter hurdles (8.63). Perhaps most exciting was the 4x400-meter relay team of Waldvogel, Hawkins, Egwim and Markland running the second-fastest indoor time in program history at 3:37.80.
2014 Iowa State Classic Rewind
Last season, the Gophers had solid performances across the board at the Iowa State Classic. Devin Stanford placed fourth in the weight throw (62-01.00) on the first day of the event. In addition, Katie Hill, Megan Geyen, Alena Brooks and Maggie Bollig took second in the distance medley relay in 11:12.85, which still stands as the fifth-best time in program history.
USTFCCCA Week Three National Poll

The Big Ten Conference has three teams ranked in the top 25. No. 18 Wisconsin, No. 20 Michigan and No. 21 Maryland make the list this week. Michigan State dropped out of this week's rankings.
The Golden Gophers continue to make upward movement in the rankings, moving up to No. 44, which is two spots higher than last week. The next rankings release will be Feb. 16.
