ROSEMONT, Ill. - Junior Lindsay Mable and senior Cierra Tomson were named to All-Big Teams by the conference office this afternoon. Mable earned her third first-team all-conference honor while Tomson was named to the league second team for the second consecutive year.

Mable's First Team All-Big Ten honor is the third of her career after her third successful year at the University of Minnesota. In both her freshman and sophomore campaigns, Mable earned conference honors as well as All-American accolades. Mable, who was ranked as the No. 1 gymnast in the all-around twice this season, has 27 event wins and ten all-around crowns in 2015. The standout junior is ranked nationally in the top fifteen in three events including vault (15), balance beam (5) and floor exercise (11).

The Aurora, Colo. native is currently ranked first in the Big Ten on balance beam and floor exercise, second on vault and sixth on uneven bars. The Colorado Gymnastics Institute alumna has earned six Big Ten Gymnast of the Week laurels in 2015. On Feb. 14, Mable broke her own program all-around record by scoring a 39.675 and boasted a 9.975 on floor exercise as the Maroon and Gold hosted Nebraska.

Tomson, who earned her second all-league award of her career, has contributed greatly to the success of the Golden Gophers this season. The senior from Jacksonville, Fla. is ranked 33rd on the uneven bars and 54th on floor exercise nationally while sitting in 31st on the vault, 7th on the uneven bars and 12th on floor exercise in the league. She has earned four event titles this season, two on uneven bars and two on floor exercise, including the bars event title during Saturday's Big Five qualifier with a score of 9.925.

The Maroon and Gold will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich. on Saturday to participate in the 2015 Big Ten Championship hosted by the University of Michigan. The Golden Gophers will compete alongside Michigan, Penn State, Illinois, Nebraska and Ohio State in the afternoon session beginning at 3:30 p.m. CT. The meet will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.
