TV Rights Announced for Friday's Opener

MINNEAPOLIS (GopherSports.com) - Gopher Hockey's series opener with Penn State on Friday will now be televised live via the American Sports Network on GETTV in the Twin Cities and on MyTV (KIMT) in Southeastern Minnesota, the University of Minnesota announced today.
Clay Matvick will handle play-by-play duties, while Gophers' All-American and M Club Hall of Fame member Pat Micheletti will serve as the analyst.
Puck drop for Friday's contest is set for 7:05 p.m. CT. Friday's game will also be streamed live on BTN2Go.
With the addition of the Penn State series opener to Gopher Hockey's television schedule, 31 of Minnesota's 36 regular-season games will now be televised this season between the FOX Sports Network, the Big Ten Network, the ESPN Network and the American Sports Network. Saturday's regular-season finale will also be televised on FOX Sports North PLUS while the entirety of the Big Ten Ice Hockey Tournament will air on the Big Ten Network.
