The Minnesota men's golf team was named a Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Academic Team, announced on Thursday.
In order to qualify for this award, a team's official roster must register a GPA of 3.0 or better. The Gophers have stood out both on the course and in the classroom as the team has received recognition for its academics by the GCAA for the fourth straight year under head coach John Carlson.
"Our players along with our academic advisor, Cynthia Dowd, and the McNamara Academic Center staff work hard throughout the year on achieving high goals we set in the classroom, as well as on the golf course," said Carlson. "These individuals deserve all the credit for being named to the list of 2015 Golf Coaches Association Team Academic Awards for teams having a GPA for the 2014-2015 school year above 3.0."
Following the 2015 campaign, standout Jon DuToit was also named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar.
