Meyer, Duensing Lead Gophers at Pine to Palm
8/17/2015 12:00:00 AM | Men's Golf
The Golden Gophers continued their streak of good performances at the Pine to Palm Championships. Junior Grady Meyer captured stroke play medalist honors for the second straight year, and sophomore Charlie Duensing advanced to the final match of the tournament in Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Current and former University of Minnesota golfers have medaled at four of the last five Pine to Palm tournaments. In addition to Grady Meyer's back-to-back medalist performances, Jon Trasamar and Erik Van Rooyen each accomplished the feat once.
Gophers have made it to the match play finals four years in a row. Duensing, Matt Rachey and David Haley Jr. have finished second, and Jon Trasamar won the match play in 2013.
