The Big Ten Conference announced its Men's Golfers to Watch List Wednesday afternoon. Senior Jon DuToit, junior Jose Mendez and sophomore Runar Arnorsson represent Minnesota on that list.

DuToit, the lone senior on this year's Gophers roster, has been a regular in the starting lineup his whole career. The Chaska, Minnesota, native has finished in the top 25 in his three Big Ten Championships appearances, including a tie for eighth in 2013. DuToit had a 73.35 stroke average last season in nine tournaments, and won the MGA Amateur this summer.

Mendez, the 2014 Big Ten co-medalist, tied for fifth in 2015 and collected his second All-Big Ten First Team honor. He has competed in the NCAA Regionals twice, with the team in 2014 and as an individual in 2015. The San Jose, Costa Rica, native holds a career stroke average of 71.86. His two season averages rank third (71.74 in 2014-15) and fourth (71.97 in 2013-14) in program history.

Arnorsson played in 11 tournaments as a freshman in 2014-15. Hailing from Hafnarfjordur, Iceland, Arnorsson made the second-most starts (10) on the team after Mendez last year. He posted a 74.78 scoring average over 32 rounds, and was the Gophers' leader at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational.

Minnesota will begin its season with its own Gopher Invitational Sept. 13-14 at Windsong Farm Golf Club.
