Gophers Set for Denver, BYU

Fresh off their annual training trip, the Golden Gophers will look to grab wins against Denver and BYU this Friday and Saturday. The meet will begin on Jan. 15 at 5:30 p.m. CT at the El Pomar Natatorium, and will continue on Jan. 16 at 1 p.m. CT. Diving is scheduled to be contested before swimming each day.

The Minnesota women's team is currently 4-1-1, while the Gopher men's squad owns a 3-3 record.

LAST TIME OUT
Minnesota swimming earned convincing wins against the University of Hawaii this past Saturday. Danielle Nack, Lauren Votava and Brooke Zeiger each earned two individual event wins for the women's team, while Daryl Turner won the 100 freestyle and led the men in both relays.

The Gophers diving squad had some impressive finishes at the Georgia Diving Invite at the beginning of the year. Juniors Matt Barnard and Yu Zhou each earned gold in the three-day competition.

ON THE DOCKET
Minnesota will travel to Evanston, Illinois later this month for B1G Triple Duals against Northwestern and Purdue. The Gophers will then host the annual Minnesota Challenge from Feb. 5-6 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center to close out competition before the women's and men's respective B1G Championships.
