Unlimited Events for 2016

As the University of Minnesota gears up for the Unlimited Dance Marathon, Gopher fans have the option to help this worthy cause in the upcoming months. University of Minnesota students will be collecting monetary donations at the athletic facility entrances over the course of the next few months. The Unlimited Dance Marathon is scheduled for April 16 from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. at the Sports Pavilion.
The first event of the semester begins tomorrow (this Saturday) at men’s gymnastics as the Golden Gophers host Penn State at the Sports Pavilion. The next opportunity is scheduled for Feb. 6 as the Gopher women’s gymnastics team competes against Illinois, also at the Sports Pavilion. On Monday, Feb. 15, the Gopher women’s basketball team hosts Iowa at Williams Arena, while women’s tennis also competes March 4 vs. Buffalo at the Baseline Tennis Center, both fundraising events for Unlimited. The final event will be held on March 11 at the men’s hockey game when the Gophers compete against Wisconsin at Mariucci Arena.
Along with efforts at athletic events, Gopher student-athletes will be selling chocolate in the Bierman Field Athletic Building lobby on Feb. 3-4, and Feb. 8-9.
The Unlimited Dance Marathon is a 12-hour dancing event hosted by University of Minnesota students on the U of M campus. It marks the last event of a culmination of year-long, campus-wide fundraising efforts to benefit children and family members of the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital. Last season $32,098 was raised, all of which went to the hospital.
