The Golden Gopher diving team wrapped competition at the University of Georgia Diving Invite today after competing in 1-meter, 3-meter and platform diving events. Minnesota earned two gold, two silver and two bronze finishes over three days.

DAY ONE
Yu Zhou topped the women's 1-meter event with 309.60 points. Senior Jessica Ramberg recorded a third place mark with a score of 299.10.

On the men's 3-meter springboard, Matt Barnard earned second place after turning in a score of 390.15. Seniors Dylan Zoe (337.20) and Manny Pollard (333.00) also competed in the event final, finishing eighth and 10th respectively.

DAY TWO
Zhou grabbed second place in the women's 3-meter final with a score of 307.90. Freshman Mariam Khamis finished sixth with a score of 290.30.

Pollard led the Gophers on the men's 1-meter boards, finishing sixth with 324.45 points. Barnard placed eighth with a 316.55, followed by freshman Alan LeBlang for 9th (310.85). Zoe turned in 303.20 points for 11th place.

DAY THREE
Matt Barnard took gold on the platform with a score of 432.20. Zoe finished fourth at 339.85. LeBlang and Pollard came in seventh and eighth, and Daniel Monaghan was 15th.

Ramberg posted her second bronze finish of the week, this time on the platform with a score of 239.00. Khamis was the next Gopher, in 13th at 212.15. Morgan Justus (17th), Liz Click (24th) and Elizabeth Etterman (25th) also competed on platform.

ON THE DOCKET
Minnesota swimming has taken over the Aloha State for its annual winter training trip. The Gophers will face the University of Hawai'i in a dual meet this Saturday, Jan. 9 at 3 p.m. CT.
