Gophers Lock In Intrasquad Meet Date

Minnesota men's gymnastics has scheduled its intrasquad meet for Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the Sports Pavilion. The meet will be free to the public and will begin at 4 p.m. CT. It will give the Gophers the opportunity to practice on their home competition floor prior to the 2017 season, as well as competing for annual bragging rights as Maroon Team and Gold Team face off.
Last year, the Gold Team took home the title 251.40-242.25. Jalon Stephens earned top scores on three events (floor, parallel bars and high bar), while Justin Karstadt took home the all-around.
The Gophers will officially begin their season at the Windy City Invitational on Jan. 7, 2017.
Maroon Team: Ryan Bergman, Tristan Duran, Joel Gagnon, Michael Harris, Vitali Kan, Timmy Kutyla, Mitchell Soukup, Ryan Wangler, Ben Winkel, Alex Wittenberg.
Gold Team: Luke Aldrich, Shaun Herzog, Justin Karstadt, Jack Kramer, Zach Liebler, Yaroslav Pochinka, Jordan Poganski, Jalon Stephens, Shashank Yallamraju.
