Postgame Quotes

Head Coach Marlene Stollings
Opening statement...
"Very valuable win for us down the stretch as you look at things in terms of the big picture. Credit to Georgetown, they are a very athletic team and rebound the ball very well. They had 24 offensive rebounds and we had to battle against that all night. Credit to them for that, but proud of us forcing 21 turnovers and holding them to 60 points. Lot of things defensively that we are focused on. Certainly was solid for us tonight."

On the slow start…
"I think we just had to settle in. They jumped out on us a little bit on some of our offensive sets and we didn't handle it well. We just told them to settle in and read the looks, make sure we are going around people that are hedging for example. I think Joanna (Hedstrom) came in and gave us a big lift and she really opened things up with the screening actions and got couple of three pointers and that helped us as well."

Junior Carlie Wagner
On the 4th qtr performance….
"Our motto is that we win 4th quarter. The 4th quarter is ours. We come out with complete intensity and just lock them up defensively and really put a lot of effort forward just because we know the 4th quarter is ours. We win in the 4th quarter. That's our goal."

On playing with Kenisha…
"It is so exciting to have Kenisha back on the floor. You can notice the change in our game when she comes into the game. She just brings so much energy on the defensive and offensive end and she just sees the floor so well. I think she opens up a lot of things for us on the floor. She is very fast and gets the job done."

Sophomore Kenisha Bell
On Carlie (Wagner) in the 4th qtr...
"I thought Carlie came out strong. I mean neither one of us had pretty good shooting half in the first half, but we knew we had to stay poised and come out with a win."

On her assists….
"We practice this a lot. We do outlet drills and other drills that help us stay poised against our opponents."
