Gophers in the Polls: November 23

Gopher athletic teams continue to make their mark on the top-25. Below is a summary of each team, and tickets for all upcoming home events are available by visiting mygophersports.com.
Volleyball - #2
Last Week: The Gophers earned a pair of hard-fought five-set victories over then-No. 13 Michigan State and 18th-ranked Michigan at the Pav this past weekend.
This Week: The University of Minnesota is set to face Nebraska and Wisconsin this week at the Sports Pavilion. The pair of home matches marks the end of the regular season as the NCAA Championships begin Dec. 2-3. Tickets for both home matches are sold out.
Women's Hockey - #2
Last Week: Minnesota (11-1-2, 9-1-2-2 WCHA) recorded back-to-back 2-2 overtime ties with a pair of shootout victories on the road at No. 9 North Dakota last weekend in Grand Forks.
This Week: The Gophers return home to Ridder Arena to host Bemidji State this Saturday and Sunday. The Gophers and Beavers face off at 2 p.m. CT both days.
Men's Gymnastics - #4
Preseason: The Gophers were selected fourth in the College Gymnastics Association (CGA) preseason poll. It's the highest preseason ranking in head coach Mike Burns' tenure, now spanning 13 seasons.
Coming Up: Minnesota welcomes the public to the program's annual Maroon vs. Gold intrasquad meet on Dec. 14 at the Sports Pavilion. The meet will begin at 4 p.m.
Wrestling - #10
Last Week: The Gophers overcame an early deficit against South Dakota State, surging back to take a narrow 18-17 victory over the Jackrabbits in Minnesota's home opener at the Sports Pavilion on Saturday.
Coming Up: Minnesota, now 1-0 on the young season, will stay at home over the Thanksgiving holiday to prepare for its next match, a home dual against top-ranked Oklahoma State next Sunday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m.
Men's Hockey - #11
Last Week: The Gophers split a home-and-home series with Minnesota State, as the Mavericks took a 4-1 win in Mankato Friday night before a 1-0 Gopher victory at Mariucci Arena on Saturday.
Coming Up: The Maroon & Gold return to action next weekend with a Thanksgiving road trip to Boston. Minnesota plays at Northeastern on Friday, Nov. 25 before facing off with Boston College on Sunday, Nov. 27.
Women's Swimming & Diving - #21
Last Week: Yu Zhou has been named Big Ten Diver of the Week for the 13th time in her career. The Golden Gophers senior led her team at the House of Champions Invitational over the weekend in Indianapolis.
Coming Up: The Gophers are off this week.
Men's Swimming & Diving - #23
Last Week: Matt Barnard finished second in platform diving on the final day of the House of Champions Invite hosted by IUPUI.
