Following a 111-91 win against Detroit Mercy on Saturday, the University of Minnesota (5-3) women's basketball team travels to Albuquerque to take on the New Mexico Lobos (3-4). The Tuesday, Dec. 6 game will tip off at 8 p.m. CT at the Pit. Minnesota is looking to reeverse the outcome of last year's game which the Lobos won in Minneapolis.
Live online video of the game will be available for free via the Mountain West Network. The Gopher Radio Network broadcast will air on KBEM 88.5 FM.
Here are five notes as the Gophers take to the road:
1 Several Gophers are among Big Ten leaders in major stat categories. Naismith Trophy Watch List honoree Carlie Wagner is fourth in scoring at 21.6 points per game and second in 3-pointers per game with an average of 3.3. Gadiva Hubbard leads conference freshmen with 14.6 points per game. Kenisha Bell is second in assists (6.3), fourth in steals (2.1) and 10th in scoring (17.3). Jessie Edwards, who had a double-double against Detroit Mercy, is tied for seventh in rebounding (7.8) and fifth in blocks (1.6).
2 The Gophers' 111-91 win against Detroit Mercy on Saturday was their eighth triple-digit scoring effort under head coach Marlene Stollings. They had a program record five 100-point games in 2015-16. Minnesota set program records with 83.6 points per game and 2,676 points last season. The Maroon and Gold offense currently averages 80.9 points per game, 25th in the nation and fourth in the Big Ten.
3 A win at the Pit would give Stollings her 100th career victory as a head coach. Stollings has posted three straight seasons of 20 or more wins, starting with her final year at VCU in 2013-14. The Gophers' 23 wins in Stollings' first season were their most in 10 years. This year, Stollings' team faces one of its toughest schedules in recent years as it looks to surpass that 20-win mark again, with six 2016 NCAA Tournament opponents on the non-conference slate. (More on p. 2.)
4 The Gophers made a season-high 13 3-pointers against Detroit Mercy, their second time making 12-plus this year. Minnesota is second in the Big Ten with an average of 7.8 triples per contest. In each of the past two years, the Gophers set new program records with 214 3-pointers in 2014-15 and 292 in 2015-16. Carlie Wagner, who ranks 15th on Minnesota's career scoring list (1,177 points), ranks sixth on the career 3-point list with 150.
5 Minnesota has outrebounded five of its opponents this season. Most recently, the Gophers outrebounded Detroit Mercy 59-29. Jessie Edwards turned in her third double-digit rebounding game of the year with 12. Taiye Bello has had two games with 10-plus rebounds, and Karley Barnes has one. The Gophers piled up 66 rebounds against Seton Hall, two shy of the program record.
 SCOUTING THE LOBOS
 • New Mexico (3-4) snapped a four-game losing skid with a home win against SMU on Saturday.

 • Transfer center Richelle van der Keijl is leading New Mexico in scoring (15.7 ppg) and rebouunding (10.9 ppg) after following Bradbury to Albuquerque from Wright State. She is shooting 64.8 percent.
 • Returning All-Mountain West guard Cherise Beynon isn't far behind van der Keijl, averaging 13.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
 • The Lobos have two Minnesotans on the roster: Otsego's Hannah Sjerven and Red Wing's Tesha Buck (redshirt).
