The Golden Gophers moved up day three of the 2016 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. Minnesota was led by strong performances from Yu Zhou, Brooke Zeiger and Lauren Votava.

Zhou finished fifth in 3-meter diving with total of 365.45 points, and earned her fourth NCAA All-America award.

Zeiger placed sixth in the 400 IM with a season-best time of 4:05.38, earning All-America honors for the third time in her career-and second time this week.

Senior Votava recorded a personal record to advance to the 200 free consolation final (1:45.13) where she once again notched a lifetime best for 13th place (1:45.09). This event was Votava's first All-America honor in an individual event, she is now a eight-time All-American having been a key fixture to Gopher relays her entire career.

Minnesota is currently in 20th place with 33 championship points, tied with Wisconsin and Miami (Ohio).
