Gophers Wrap Regular Season in Napa

The Minnesota women's golf team travels to Napa, Calif., for its final regular season tournament this weekend. Over three days, the Gophers will compete in the Silverado Showdown at the resort's 6,206-yard, par 72 North Course beginning Sunday.

Tee times will start at 7:45 a.m. PT on both Sunday and Monday, with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.

The Gophers will send five golfers to California in sophomores Sabrine Garrison and Heather Ciskowski, junior Emie Peronnin, and freshmen Muyu Wu and Maggie Heggerston.

The 18-team field consists of nine teams in the Golfstat Top 50: Stanford (11), California (15), San Diego State (17), Oregon (23), Louisville (36), Colorado (40), New Mexico (43), Ohio State (44) and LSU (50). Rounding out the field with the Gophers are San Jose State, San Francisco, Pepperdine, Long Beach State, Gonzaga, Wisconsin, UC Davis and Nebraska.

Oregon is the defending champion, while the Gophers placed 13th a year ago including a T-32nd finish by Peronnin.
