Live Scoring
A rough outing on Monday saw the Gophers fall to 12th at the 2016 Tiger Invitational. After a good first round, Minnesota shot 312 as a team in the second round, putting their total score at 603.
For the second straight day the Gophers were led by the duo of Grady Meyer and RĆĀŗnar Arnorsson who posted scores of 76 and 78 respectively.
Meyer, along with every other member of the team, birdied the 12th hole to help his score. Meyer was the only member of the team to not post a double bogey. Arnorsson had a triple bogey on his second hold of the day, but recovered nicely shooting even par the rest of the round until the 17th hole. Meyer was tied for 25th at the end of the day and Arnorsson was tied for 37th.
Jon DuToit recorded two birdies within three holes in his second round, but still finished with a 78. Justin Doeden was 1-under on the back 9, but struggles on the first nine holes put his round score at 80. Tom Vining also competed in Monday's round, carding an 82.
Four of the five Gopher golfers performed better on the back 9 or had the same score as the front 9 in the second round.
Auburn continues to lead the tournament with a team score of 577 through two rounds. Luke Moser of Troy took the individual lead with a score of 140 after two rounds.
The Gophers will tee off for Tuesday's final round at 7:45 a.m. EST tomorrow.
