Gophers Head to Big Tens

The University of Minnesota women's golf team begins its postseason competition starting Friday, taking part in the Big Ten Championships at The Fort Golf Course in Indianapolis. Competition at the par-72, 6,221-yard course will take place over three days, with tee times scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. ET on Friday and Saturday and 8:00 a.m. ET on Sunday.

Minnesota's lineup, which consists of sophomores Sabrine Garrison and Heather Ciskowski, junior Emie Peronnin, and freshmen Muyu Wu, Maggie Heggerston and Niamh Ward, will tee off starting at 8:48 a.m. from the first hole.

"I am looking forward to seeing our team compete this week at the Big Ten Championships," said head coach Michele Redman. "I am excited to carry our momentum forward from our last event."

Live scoring throughout the tournament can be found at the link above. On Sunday, May 1 at 10:00 a.m. CT, the Big Ten Network will televise delayed coverage of the championships.

The Gophers are coming off their best spring tournament finish, placing sixth at the Silverado Showdown on April 5 with Ciskowski and Wu highlighting the action finishing tied for 23rd. Peronnin and Garrison have also recorded top-25 finishes this spring season, the latter twice at the UCF Challenge (T-19th) and the Mountain View Collegiate Invitational (T-17th). Peronnin tied for sixth in Orlando, the best finish of her career.

Minnesota will be competing for a bid to the NCAA Regionals, which will be announced on Monday evening and will be played from May 5-7 at four sites across the country.
