DuToit Moves into Top 25 on B1G Day 2

The Golden Gophers moved up one place to 11th on the second day of the Big Ten Championships at Victoria National in Newburgh, Indiana. Senior Jon DuToit shot a team-best 72 and is in position to claim his fourth career top-25 finish at the conference tournament.
DuToit (+2) started the day on the 10th hole and made three birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey through his first nine. The Chaska, Minnesota, native went on to par holes 1-9 for an even-par round. He is tied for 25th with one round remaining.
The Gophers' Saturday team score was 307 (+19). They moved ahead of Nebraska. Iowa took the lead with a team 281 in the second round, and is 10 under for the tournament. The Hawkeyes' Carson Schaake (-7) tops the leaderboard.
Minnesota's second golfer on the scoreboard is sophomore RĆĀŗnar Arnorsson, in a tie for 37th. He carded a 76 in the second round after making birdies on two of his last for holes, and is 6 over.
Junior Justin Doeden and freshman Peter Jones rounded out the second day's scoring with rounds of 79 and 80, respectively.
