Blankenship Makes Olympic Trials Semifinals

EUGENE, Ore. (GopherSports.com) -- University of Minnesota All-American alum Ben Blankenship advanced to the 1,500 meter semifinals on Friday at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials at Hayward Field.

The Stillwater, Minn., native paced his heat to earn an automatic qualifying spot in the semifinals, clocking a 3:49.61.

The semifinals will be ran on Friday, July 8 at 6:12 p.m. CT. Watch on NBC Sports or stream it here.
