In their lone preseason exhibition game, the Minnesota women's soccer team tied with Drake in a 0-0 stalemate on Saturday night at Cownie Soccer Complex.
The Gophers dominated offensive ball time, but were unable to find the back of the net during the three, 30-minute periods. Minnesota tallied 14 shots with six on goal, outnumbering the Bulldog's four shots.
Sophomore April Bockin led the Gophers with three shots on the frame. Gophers Simone Kolander, Sydney Squires and Josee Stiever also issued shots on goal.
"We were able to give a lot of players quality minutes," head coach Stefanie Golan said. "This is a good place to build from, and we're looking forward to getting back to training tomorrow."
Minnesota will open their season in Lawrence, Kans. against the Jayhawks on Friday, Aug. 19. Kickoff is slated for 5:00 p.m.
