  • Austin Athmann (Connecticut Tigers) is on a six-game hitting streak. He has a .333 (13-39) batting average over his last ten games. Last Thursday, Athmann went 3-4 with one walk, one RBI and scored one run.
  • Matt Fiedler (Johnson City Cardinals) has collected five hits in his last three games. He went 2-3 with two RBIs and scored one run in Tuesday's game. Fiedler was named to the 2016 Appalachian League All-Star Team.
  • Jordan Jess (Bristol Pirates) pitched two scoreless innings of relief on Saturday. He recorded one strikeout and lowered his ERA to 2.29.
  • Ben Meyer (Greensboro Grasshoppers) made his seventh start of the season on Saturday. He went 4.2 innings where he allowed three earned runs and struck out four batters.
  • Dalton Sawyer (Vermont Lake Monsters) made a two inning relief appearance Tuesday night. He allowed one earned and struck out four batters.
  • Tom Windle (Clearwater Threshers) has made three relief appearances in the past week. In 5.1 innings he recorded four strikeouts.
