Big Ten Championships Site Announced
The 2017 and 2018 Big Ten Men's Golf Championships will be held at Baltimore Country Club's Five Farms East Golf Course. Baltimore Country Club was founded in 1898, and the Five Farms East course has been rated among America's top classic courses.
Doeden and Uloth Team Up for Four-Ball Tournament
Justin Doeden and Alex Uloth tied for second at the 55th Minnesota Golf Association (MGA) Four-Ball Championship. The pair of Gophers shot a 7-under 65 with eight birdies on Tuesday to share the lead. They carded a 67 in Wednesday's second and final round. Former Gopher Aaron Barber and teammate Andy Jacobson finished behind Doeden and Uloth by a stroke. Recent graduate Jon DuToit and his brother Mike tied for 10th.
Alumni Win in August
Earlier in the month, two Gopher alumni won Hillcrest tournaments. Jon Trasamar won the Hillcrest pro by 4 shots at 14 under. Cameron White won the Hillcrest Pro/Am by 4 with a 72-hole score of 270.
Gophers at the Fair
Members of the men's golf team will appear on the University of Minnesota stage at the State Fair Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. Various Gopher athletic teams and other guests will visit the stage during the week. For schedule and location details, click here.
Gopher Invitational Approaching
The Gopher Invitational, which features 10 teams who made the 2016 NCAA postseason, is set for Sept. 10-11. To view the field and other tournament details, including volunteer opportunities, click here.
