The minor league regular season is coming to an end on Sept. 5 so take a look at how Gopher alum are doing as the season winds down.

  • Austin Athmann (Connecticut Tigers) went 4-5 with three RBIs and scored two runs on Monday. Athmann has brought his batting average up to .291 and has 16 RBIs.
  • Matt Fiedler (Johnson City Cardinals) has collected six hits in his last five games. He hit his fourth home run of the season Tuesday night as he collected his 31st RBI.
  • Jordan Jess (Bristol Pirates) picked up two saves in the past week. He now has seven saves along with a 2.78 ERA and 26 strikeouts this season.
  • Tom Windle (Clearwater Threshers) made three relief appearances over the week. In three total innings he struck out five batters and allowed just one run.
