ST. PAUL, Minn. - Members of the University of Minnesota women's track & field team dominated competition at the St. Thomas Invite Friday evening as the Golden Gophers took home event titles in all 12 events in which they competed.

Three Gophers combined for four titles while competing in uniform for the Maroon & Gold while Minnesota's unattached team members won eight more events.

On the track, Allison Dugan won the 400-meter dash in 1:00.36 while Laura Werking won the 1,000-meter run in a career-best 3:18.87, both racing in uniform for the Gophers.

Allie Heifort won the shot put with a throw of 13.02m (42-08.75) and took home top honors in the weight throw with a toss of 15.77m (51-09.00) as well.

The unattached Gophers' event titles included seven wins on the track. Ashley Ramacher won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.33 seconds, and Alyssa Faucett won the 200-meter dash in 27.12 in her first collegiate race.

Minnesota's unattached runners dominated the mid-distance events as Titania Markland won the 600-meter run (1:33.68), Abby Kohut-Jackson won the 800-meter run (2:17.45), and Lindsay Greenlund won the mile (5:05.59). In total, the Gophers and Minnesota unattached runners recorded 19 collegiate- or lifetime-best times in these three events.

Rookies Megan Hasz and Bethany Hasz went one-two in the 3,000-meter run as Megan won in 9:43.50 in her collegiate 3K debut while Bethany ran a career-best 9:45.76 for second place in her second collegiate 3K race.

Minnesota took the top two spots in the 4x400-meter relay with two unattached relay teams. Erin Huls, Titania Markland, Meleah Biermaier, and Sophia Anderson ran 3:52.97 for the relay crown while Val Larson, Maddie Gourley, Hannah Arason, and Ashley Ramacher finished second in 4:09.87.

Rounding out the unattached titles for the Gophers was rookie Hannah Arason, who won the long jump with a careet-best mark of 5.21m (17-01.25).

The Gophers continue this weekend's competition at the third-annual Minnesota-Wisconsin Dual on the road in Madison, Wis., at UW's Camp Randall Memorial Sports Center on Saturday. Field events kick off the day at 11:30 a.m. CT, beginning with men's high jump and women's weight throw. Running events get underway at noon CT with the women's mile.
