The Gophers split a pair of duals over the weekend, first dropping a home contest to No. 5 Nebraska on Friday night before hitting the road and routing Indiana, 28-9, on Sunday. The split moved Minnesota to 4-2 in the Big Ten so far this season.

The Gophers made themselves at home in Bloomington despite not visiting Indiana in the past four years, picking up bonus points in each of the afternoon's first four matches to spark the 28-9 win. No. 2 Brett Pfarr (197), No. 8 Michael Kroells (285) and No. 6 Ethan Lizak (125) opened the dual with three straight tech falls, followed by No. 16 Mitch McKee (133) earning a major decision. Minnesota also picked up wins from No. 13 Tommy Thorn (141), No. 11 Jake Short (157) and No. 13 Nick Wanzek (165).

On Friday, Minnesota opened its dual against the fifth-ranked Huskers by winning four of the night's first five matches, building an 11-3 lead at the intermission. Those wins came from Wanzek, Chris Pfarr (174), Brett Pfarr and Kroells. Nebraska answered Minnesota's early run with one of its own after the break, sweeping the night's final five matches to take the dual, 21-11.

The Gophers return to action this Sunday, when they travel to the Hoosier State for the second time in as many weeks, this time to take on Purdue.
