Gophers Celebrate Valentine's Day at Masonic

University of Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletics and CUB Foods paired together for a Valentine's Day visit to the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital.
Student-athletes delivered balloons and visited patients and families throughout the morning. Following the balloon deliveries, patients were invited to the lobby to decorate Valentine's Day cookies and cards with the Gopher student-athletes.
As part of the CUB Cares winter program through CUB, shoppers were asked for a $1, $3, or $5 donation from January 31 through February 15, with proceeds benefitting University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. Cub presented a $25,000 check to Masonic Children's Hospital on Tuesday.
Attending the event were members of the women's hockey (Emma May, Katie Robinson, Kate Schipper and Lee Stecklein), volleyball (Kayla Buford), women's tennis (Mehvish Safdar) and alums from softball (Sydney Fabian) and swimming (Bridgette Grobe and Theresa Bushman).
