Meet Preview: Gophers Host Huskers

The Golden Gophers return to the Sports Pavilion this Saturday, Feb. 11 as they host No. 19 Nebraska. The first rotation is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network.
Last Time Out
Minnesota fell to No. 21 Illinois last Saturday in the program's first regular-season conference loss since 2015. Freshmen Paige Williams and Ivy Lu led Minnesota in their respective top events. Williams was named co-champion on vault with a 9.825, while Lu notched a career-best 9.875 to tie for the gold. Sophomore Rachel Cutler also earned a personal record on beam with a score of 9.825.

No. 19 Nebraska enters the weekend coming off a 196.925-195.725 win over Iowa after sweeping the event titles. Cornhuskers Taylor Houchin and Ashley Lambert were recognized by the conference following their performances; Houchin was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week and Lambert earning Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week honors. Nebraska currently holds a season average of 195.565 and are ranked in the top-10 on vault and bars. Nebraska leads the all-time series with the Gophers, 29-11-1.
