Gophers Set To Compete In Cardinal Invitational

The University of Minnesota Rowing team heads to Knoxsville, Tenn. this weekend to open up their spring season at the Louisville Challenge. They will face three races over a two day span.

The Field:The 12-team field features No. 5 Virginia, No. 10 Michigan, No. 15 Notre Dame, Clemson, Kansas, host Louisville, Miami, Michigan State, Minnesota, Tennessee, Tulsa, and West Virginia.

"We are really looking forward to racing!," coach Wendy Davissaid. "We haven't been able to row for over a week because of the high winds back home so we feel a bit less prepared than we would like. On the other hand, we have had really solid practices with great focus, so we are eager to see where we stand."
