Sacramento, Cal. - The University of Minnesota Golden Gophers will continue their road trip as they take on Sacramento State for a three-game series beginning Thursday at 8 p.m. central time.

The Gophers are 9-7 this season after falling to California Tuesday. As a team, Minnesota has a .273 batting average while Luke Pettersen leads the team with a .423 batting average. Micah Coffey leads the team with 13 RBIs and Alex Boxwell has the most triples on the team with four which is tied for second most in the country. Jordan Smith and Matt Stemper lead the team with two home runs each.

Brett Schulze leads all starting pitchers with a 4.19 ERA while Lucas Gilbreath leads the team with 18 strikeouts. Tim Shannon has made 10 relief appearances where he has a 3.00 ERA and eight strikeouts. Brian Glowick leads the team with five saves while boasting a 1.04 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 8.2 innings pitched.

About Sacramento State
The Hornets are currently 9-6 on the season and have a home record of 7-3. As a team, Sacramento State is batting .246. Ian Dawkins leads the team with a .355 batting average while James Outman has collected 16 RBIs. The Hornets are 17-26 in stolen base attempts this season.

Justin Dillon leads all starting pitchers with a 1.24 ERA and is 2-1. He has struck out a team leading 30 batters. The Hornets have only recorded two saves this season, one each by Alex Dentoni and Chad Perry. Tanner Olson and Ty Fox have both made eight appearances out of the bullpen.
