Divers Add Events to NCAA Championships Schedule

On the second day of NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at Missouri, five Gophers added events to their NCAA Championships schedule. One qualified for his first event of the national meet, while four who had already qualified added a second event.
Matt Barnard placed third on the 3-meter board with a total score of 798.10 for 12 dives, adding a second event to his NCAA Championships schedule after qualifying in 1-meter Monday.
Alan LeBlang clinched a trip to NCAAs by finishing ninth in 3-meter. He had a total score of 734.20.
Lucas Cooperman finished 24th in prelims at 274.20. Fellow freshman Jeremy Moser was 27th at 258.90.
The same three Gophers women who qualified in 3-meter added 1-meter to their NCAA Championships slate. Yu Zhou won her second event of the meet with a 12-dive score of 658.65. Sarah Bacon was runner-up at 623.60, and Lexi Tenenbaum seventh at 598.10.
Mariam Khamis also made the final and finished 15th with 546.50 points. Beth Etterman finished 28th in prelims with a score of 249.45. Morgan Justus was 39th at 225.50.
The Zone D meet will conclude Wednesday with men's platform at 11 a.m. and women's platform at 4:05 p.m. Coverage will be available on Watch ESPN and DiveMeets.
