ST. PAUL, Minn. - The University of Minnesota women's track & field team won 11 event titles as Allison Dugan, Sarah Klecker, Cami Gilson, and Natalie Manders won their respective events and the team picked up another seven titles with unattached competitors at the Hamline Women's Twilight Wednesday evening at Klas Field.

On the track, Dugan (400m) and Klecker (5,000m) won events for the Maroon & Gold. Dugan ran a career-best 58.75 to top the 400m field, and Anne Haakenstad also posted a PR for third place in 59.82 seconds.

Meanwhile, Klecker also used a PR performance to win the 5,000m, clocking a time of 17:23.54 to lead seven Gophers among the top seven finishers. Minnesota's top-four finishers all posted career bests as Molly Eastman finished as runner-up in 17:28.66, followed by Emily Betz (17:34.77) and Carlin Schulz (17:40.94).

Minnesota secured two more titles in the field events, winning pole vault and discus. Gilson won pole vault and Lexi Kiefer finished second as both cleared 3.95m (12-11.50), a collegiate-best mark for Kiefer.

Manders won the discus with a throw of 43.07m (141-04), just shy of her season-best mark (43.93m, 144-01). Allie Heifort also represented the Gophers in the throws, finishing as runner-up in both the hammer throw (51.86m, 170-02) and the shot put (12.31m, 40-04.75).

Minnesota's unattached competitors combined for seven titles, including five Hamline Women's Twilight meet record performances.

Elyse Prescott won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a meet record time of 11:01.89, leading four unattached Gophers among the top four finishers: Prescott, Lindsey Greenlund (11:08.46), Abby Kohut-Jackson (11:13.20), and Kelli Schmidt (11:15.10). Caitlin Dillon led the attached Gophers in sixth overall, clocking a time of 11:30.77.

The Gophers also took down the meet record in the 800-meter run as Titania Markland finished first in 2:11.60 with runner-up Val Larson close behind in 2:15.04 for second while also racing unattached. Kelsey Sather was the top attached Gopher in a career-best 2:18.45 for sixth place.

In the 1,500-meter run, Bethany Hasz led the way in a meet record 4:32.46 ahead of twin sister Megan Hasz in a runner-up time of 4:37.38. Samantha Prouty was the top attached runner for Minnesota, taking third in 4:43.97.

Racing unattached, Meleah Biermaier won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:03.29, and Erin Hawkins won the 200-meter dash in a meet-record 25.00 seconds while racing unattached and facing a strong headwind (-3.0).

Minnesota won both the 4x100-meter relay (48.36) and 4x400-meter relay (3:53.30) with unattached relay teams as well.

Hannah Arason led the Gophers in the javelin with a throw of 39.70m (130-03) for a runner-up showing while competing unattached; Wilsonique Delson was the top attached Gopher with a career-best throw of 37.28m (122-04) for third place.

Alyssa Faucett also secured a runner-up finish with a collegiate-best jump of 5.16m (16-11.25) while competing unattached in long jump as well.

This weekend, Madeline Strandemo is the lone Gopher set to compete as she is scheduled to race the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Ocean State Invitational in Providence, R.I., this Saturday. Minnesota's full team is back in action next week at the Kansas Relays.
