The University of Minnesota women's golf team travels to Ohio State this Easter weekend to compete in the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational. The Golden Gophers return to play after almost a month off from competition, placing eighth in their last tournament at the Clover Cup in March.

The Gophers will begin the two-day, 36 hole tournament on Saturday, playing at the 6,319-yard par 72 Scarlet Course at the Ohio State University Golf Club in Columbus.

Minnesota will be competing against Illinois, Indiana, Indianapolis, Kent State, Michigan, Michigan State, host Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Texas, and Toledo.

"I'm really happy to get them back into competition again," head coach Michele Redman said. "I think the break was good for them. Spring season can get quite long actually, so I think for them to be able to get caught up in school and leave on more of a clear mind is going to be really good for us."

This will be the last tournament for the Gophers before the Big Ten Championships next weekend.
