Sunday Final Schedule and Lane Assignments
CLEMSON, S.C. -- In the first day of action of the Clemson Invitational, the Gophers faced two rounds of competition first in the morning session and then in the afternoon. Minnesota competed in two races per boat and in total eight races during Saturday's events. The Varsity 1V8, 2V8, and 1V4 all saw time on the water at Lake Hartwell as well as the Novice 8 in the third eights competition.
In action today against the Gophers featured No. 4 Ohio State, No. 11 Wisconsin, No. 15 Syracuse, No. 18 Louisville, Clemson, Navy, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, University of California Los Angeles, University of Central Florida, and University of Virginia.
The Varsity 1V8 finished the morning session in seventh place (6:43.653), but cut some time off their second race of the day (6:42.558) finishing in seventh just behind Clemson.
For the Varsity 2V8 the morning race featured a fifth place finish (6:45.508), however in the second race of the day the Gophers fell to seventh (6:46.112).
The novice boat competed in the 3V8 race against a mix of novice and varsity boats, finishing sixth in the first heat of the morning session (7:11.395) and sixth in the evening session's second heat (7:10.558).
As for the Varsity 1V4 boat the fourth place finish stayed the same in the morning and afternoon sessions but the Gophers were eight second faster in the morning race (7:20.229) compared to the afternoon race (7:28.556).

Varsity 1V8: Meredith Kelly, Anna Greene, Bee Lovick, Rylie Wargo, Sarah Von der Goltz, Kortney Luedloff, Abby Rieser, Lauren Gonsalves, Catherine Ahrens.
Varsity 2V8: Maighdlin Shaughnessy, Sara Nelson, Lauren Burrows-Cheng, Allison Sterneman, Haley Bagley, Christina Anderson, Erike Guenther, Emily Appold, Anna Cruse.
Varsity 1V4: Anna Stockstad, Maura Dahl, Addie Morris, Lizsy Hiebel, Katrina Hetico.
The Gophers will be back on the water tomorrow morning, Sunday April 23 for the final races for each boat. Minnesota will be in the C finals of the 1V8 and 2V8, and the B finals of the 3V8 and 1V4.
