Gophers Conclude Racing at Clemson

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Gophers captured 18th after the final races of the day, as the Clemson Invitational concluded Sunday with final races.
The Varsity 1V8 hit the water first and finished fourth (6:47.272) against Gonzaga, Navy, Oregon State, Clemson, and Cornell, in the C-final.
In the second race, the C-final , the Varsity 2V8 also captured a fourth place finish (6:50.391) against Clemson, Pennslyvania, Navy, Cornell, Oregon State, and Columbia.
With the best finish of the day, the Varsity 1V4 secured a second place finish (7:38.834) in the B-final, just behind Washington State. UCLA, Gonzaga, Pennslyvania, Columbia, and Syracuse all finished behind the Gophers.
Minnesota's novice 8 boat competed in the 3V8 B-final, finishing fourth (7:40.796). The Gophers crossed the line behind Virginia, Oklahoma, and Wazzu but ahead of Duke, Clemson and UCF.
The Gophers conclude the regular season next weekend at the Border Battle Regatta in Wisconsin.
