Gophers Wrap Up Round Two of Big Tens

After two rounds in the 2017 Big Ten Tournament, Minnesota is tied for ninth with Indiana. The Gophers shot 295 in the second round, giving the team a total of 586 after two days.
Thomas Longbella continues to lead the Gophers after two rounds, carding a 76, hitting par on all the holes in the back nine. For both rounds, he sits at 2 over and is tied for 13th.
Justin Doeden and Rúnar Arnorsson follow, tying for 30th and 33rd, respectively. Doeden tallied three birdies and seven bogeys over the course of the second round, shooting 74. Arnorsson lead the Maroon and Gold in the second round, carding a 3-under 67, including four birdies and a bogey on the 16th hole.
Rounding out the Gophers are Grady Meyer and Riley Johnson, both shooting 78. Meyer is tied for 62nd following the second round, hitting a birdie at the second hole. Johnson is tied for 64th following the second round.
Illinois continues to lead in team competition, coming up 12-under after two rounds, shooting 269 in the first round and 279 in the second. The Illini have the top two players in the tournament, Edoardo Lipparelli and Dylan Meyer, shooting 5-under and 4-under, respectively, after the conclusion of the second round.
The third and final round will be held Sunday. The Gophers' tee times will begin at 7:40 a.m. CT.

SJU Spring Invitational
Charlie Duensing is tied for second after the first round of the SJU Spring Invitational at Monticello Country Club. He carded a 2-under 70 on the first day. Alex Uloth is tied for 14th after a 74, and Campbell Fisher is tied for 18th with a 74.
