Doeden Named to PING All-Region Team

Minnesota senior Justin Doeden has been named to the PING All-Midwest Region Team as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Doeden recently finished his Golden Gophers career with an appearance in the NCAA Stanford Regional.
Doeden ranks fourth in program history in both career and season stroke average. He led the team with an average of 71.79 this year to bring his two-year average to 73.00.
During his senior year Doeden was in the lineup for every tournament in which the Gophers played. He had the team's best finish at six of those events, including a third-place performance at Auburn's Tiger Invitational. Doeden also had a team-best 14 rounds under par and six top-20 finishes.
Minnesota has had at least one PING All-Region honoree in eight of the past nine years. Before Doeden, Jon DuToit and Jose Mendez were the most recent selections in 2015.
