Incoming Gophers Win JO National Titles

Golden Gophers Lexy Ramler (St. Michael, Minn.) and Ona Loper (Bluffton, S.C.) each won a national title at the 2017 Women’s Junior Olympic National Championships this past weekend in Indianapolis, Ind.

Ramler competed all-around in the Senior F Division, and tied for seventh with a score of 38.275. By event, she tied for tenth on vault (9.725), shared 38th on uneven bars (9.100), won the title on beam with a 9.800 and tied for fifth place on floor (9.650).

Loper finished fifth in the all-around competition with a 38.300 in the Senior E Division. By event, she tied for fourth on vault (9.775), placed 30th on uneven bars (9.350), tied for 13th on beam (9.450) and claimed a share of gold on floor with a 9.725.

Ramler, Loper and Lexi Montgomery (The Colony, Texas) will join the team on campus this fall.
