Gophers Head Out to Summer Teams

Minneapolis, Minn. ââ'¬" The University of Minnesota will be placing 18 stuedent-athletes in summer leagues this year, setting an NCAA and Northwoods League record for most student-athletes placed in one program in back-to-back years.
Three Gophers will play in the Cape Cod League, 13 will participate in the Northwoods League, one will be a part of the Perfect Game League and one will placed in the Coastal Plains League.
In the summer of 2015 the Maroon and Gold had 24 players in the Northwoods League and in 2016 had 20 student-athletes play in the summer league. More Gophers could sign contracts to play over the summer, follow the Gophers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up to date.
