Walking on to Greatness: Madeline Strandemo

MINNEAPOLIS -- Madeline Strandemo joined the University of Minnesota women's track & field team as a walk-on distance runner and ended the 2016-17 season as a two-time Big Ten Conference champion, winning the mile indoors and the 3,000-meter steeplechase outdoors. She also earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors during the 2016 cross country season with an eighth-place finish at last fall's B1G Championship.
