NGC Sagicor NAAA National Open Championships Results | JAAA National Senior Championships Results

MINNEAPOLIS -- Three Golden Gopher representatives competed internationally over the weekend as Emerald Egwim represented Nigeria in Trinidad and Tobago while Titania Markland and Kimberly Golding competed at the Jamaica National Senior Championships.

Egwim represented Nigeria at the NGC Sagicor NAAA National Open Championships at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. She placed 13th in the 200-meter dash in 24.16 seconds.

Jamaica natives Markland and Golding competed at the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) National Senior Championships at National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. Markland ran a career-best time of 2:06.47 to place fifth in the 800-meter run while Golding placed 14th in the 100m hurdles in 13.56 seconds.

The trio joined fellow Gophers Nicolle Murphy, Taylor Wiebke, Ashley Ramacher and alumnae Jamie Cheever, Gabriele Grunewald, Heather Kampf, and Liz Podominick in action over the weekend as these seven Gophers competed at the 2017 USA Track & Field Outdoor Junior and Senior Championships.
