Cruse is first Gopher to join U-23 National Team

West Windsor, N.J. - Sixteen Under 23 Crews Punch Tickets to Plovdiv (USRowing)

Thursday, 2017 University of Minnesota grad and former Gopher rower Anna Cruse punched her ticket to the 2017 World Rowing Under-23 Championships by becoming the first Minnesota oarswoman to qualify for the U.S. national team.

Cruse qualified as part of the Lightweight Women's Guadruple Sculls - Union Boat Club, along with a trio of rowers from Boston University and Princeton University.

Per USRowing, the full Under-23 National Team will be named by July 7. Remaining boats will be nominated out of the USRowing Men's and Women's Under 23 Selection Camps, including the men's and women's eights, women's quadruple sculls, and men's and women's fours.
